Faruk Medical City and Aster Healthcare Company held a special scientific symposium in Baghdad on August 25, 2023 on the occasion of the start of the scientific partnership between the two parties. The symposium was attended by His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of India in Baghdad and the representative of the Prime Minister of Iraq and a group of doctors from Faruk Medical City and Aster International Group with A large number of doctors and eminent personalities from all governorates of Iraq.

The symposium included an introduction to the exceptional services provided by Faruk Medical City and several lectures that included medical developments in the field of health care in the world by Aster Group doctors. This partnership between the two parties aims to develop comprehensive health care in Iraq . This cooperation will be the beginning of providing unique medical services and the first of its kind in Iraq. During the symposium, it was announced that the liver transplant surgery project would start with a high-level medical team from the Aster Group in Faruk Medical City, as it is the only hospital that has the approval of the Ministry of Health of the Kurdistan Region to perform this operation. This gives new hope to liver patients in Iraq to get treatment on the land of Iraq without incurring the inconvenience and inconvenience of travel.
